HINCKS, Janet May – at her residence on October 20, 2022. Janet (née Hanes) Hincks of Long Sault, formerly of Fruitland, at the age of 79 years. Janet was an ICU nurse at Hamilton General Hospital for over 40 years. Predeceased by her parents Ken and Marion Hanes of Fruitland. Beloved wife of Frank C. Hincks for 59 wonderful years. Loving mother of Frank D. Hincks (Andrea Bailey) of Long Sault and Jennifer Schurr (Gord Littke) of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by an infant son Peter. Jan’s pride and joy was being an awesome role model and an amazing Grandma for Stephanie Armstrong (Mike), Danny Hincks (Irina), Katie Van Der Gulik (Nate), and Matthew Schurr (Kylie). Loving great-grandmother of Annalise, Wesley, and Thomas Hincks. Dear sister of Karen Silverthorne (Jim) of Lowbanks, David Hanes (Gail) and Murray Hanes of Stoney Creek. Janet will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Friends will be received at Donald V.
