I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your dear Mother. Manja attended our YWCA Heartbeat program for over 10years. Manja rarely missed a class and would even bring Eva into work out with her from time to time. At our Christmas luncheons everyone would look forward to Manja bringing in her Apple strudel. She would always make sure a piece was set aside for me to bring home to share with my family. Manja was so proud of her family and spoke of you all often. Carla, Eva, and Simona, I am sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was a kind and generous woman who always answered the call for help. She helped our family many times over the years and was truly part of the family. I remember when my grandmother suffered a stroke and she was there at the farm house looking after her, helping her recover and keeping up the house. Simona & Family – so sorry to hear of you mom’s passing. I remember when I was a teenager and staying at your house, your mom was so hospitable and a great cook. Then she served me beef tongue, and that was a good laugh! As years passed, my husband and I would periodically run into her, and we always enjoyed conversations with her, she had a remarkable memory. She was such a pleasure to be with in her company.

Dear Karla, Eva and Simona and families; I am currently visiting Ontario from Courtenay BC. Our mother, Gritli, was saddened when I gently broke the news of Manja’s passing but like so many things in her life, she has taken it in with outward stoicism. I have so many happy memories of long summer afternoons (after morning chores) spent in and around your family swimming pool having so much active fun. Your loving mom was always a most gracious and kind hostess-mom to us all. My sincere condolences to you all on this great loss in the fabric of your family.
