Dear Ann and Family, I was so sad to hear of Pete's passing. I would come to the Funeral , but I'm not driving out of town right now! I'm on some medication and I have some beathing issues, Please know that I'm keeping you in my thoughts, prayers and intentions! I have so many good memories of my Dad over the years. One funny one from when I was about 4yrs old was that I was getting ready for a two-wheeler bicycle, graduating from my little red tricycle. So, Dad thought it was about time to get me a bike. Back then living on the outskirts of Guelph, in "the country" so to speak, Dad would take garbage to the dump in his truck. While at the dump one day he noticed a little orange bike that someone had thrown away. I guess he figured it looked in good enough condition to bring home to start me off learning to ride. Why buy new, when you can re-use just for starting out. So, I did start learning to ride this little orange bike on our gravel driveway with Dad running behind me holding the seat, saying, "pedal! pedal FAST!!" So, I did. I later graduated to a bigger yellow bike, still from the dump. Also, I have many great memories on family vacations over the years. Dad and Mom thought it was important for kids to not only learn sitting at a desk in school, but traveling and having experiences as well which I am very grateful for. He will definitely be missed greatly.
