Obituary of Ruth Alice Hamilton

HAMILTON, Ruth Alice (Felstead) After a long and courageous battle with cancer at the Juravinski Hospital on Friday, April 1, 2011 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of James (Jim) Hamilton. Beloved mother of Gordon, Donna (Merv Pink). Predeceased by her son John. Loving Nana of Amanda, Eric and Brandon, great Nana of Skyla and step great Nana of Michael, Bridgette, Kira, John, Leigh-Anne, Brayden and Cait-Lynn. Dear sister of Irene Roberts (Ian). Sister-in-law of Janet Gibb (Bob deceased), Isobel Hamilton, Bruce Hamilton (Esther) and Nelson Hamilton (Carol). Will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Florence Felstead and by her sisters Enid and June. Ruth was member of St. Columba Presbyterian Church actively involved with the church choir and ladies groups. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Columba Church (Main St. E. and Weir St.) on Wednesday, April 6 at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow.
