My condolences on your loss. I've been driven by Sherry a number of times on DARTS. The latest was on the 5th of May. She noticed my ring, and mentioned that she was thinking about becoming Worthy Matron again. She told me about being proud about keeping a secret to be initiated so it was a surprise for her father. First discussion I've had on Masonry since my looong illness. She encouraged me most strenuously to get back in touch with my brethren and reacquaint myself with the Craft. Those 1 hour trips on DARTS seemed very short indeed. I will miss her.

With shock and sadness we learned that this family has lost a loved daughter, wife, friend. Here’s Sherri 3 years ago celebrating her mom’s and Eddie’s marriage which she and Jim lovingly helped to organize. Peggy, no mother should have to bury her child. We grieve with you. My deepest condolences to Sherri’s family. Whenever Sherri was the Darts driver for my ride I knew I was in good hands, and it was going to be a fun ride where we continued the conversation from the previous ride together. We enthusiastically talked cooking and recipes and how Jim and Sherri both loved to cook and bake. I was the lucky recipient of their famous Christmas cake. Sherri treated me like a good friend, and had a gift of cheerfully helping and genuinely caring. My heart goes out to Jim and family. May Sherri rest in peace.

Our sincerest condolences to you Jim, Bob,Mary and Peggy...
Sherri will always be in our hearts until we meet again
Sherri you are the glue and heart of our family! As your Aunt and Uncle, you are the most honest, welcoming, giving, selfless person who we have proudly watch grow up into the beautiful caring woman you are.
A true lover of animals with a special passion for tigers. You loved dragon boat racing, leather crafting, and card crafting. Parties always had a fun theme and tons of yummy lovingly prepared food by you and Jim!
I will miss your beaming smile and infectious laugh, I'll miss our wonderful phone calls that would last for 2 and 3 hrs talking about nothing and anything and everything. With your bubbly personality you found joy in everything you did!
You’re the first one to offer help to anyone who needs it and will do anything and everything you can to help. You always gave 1000% to anything to you put your mind to. An accomplished driver who drove school buses and then with Darts for 20 yrs…. you loved your job and the people you worked with who also became family.
You proudly served as a Past Worthy Matron in the Eastern Star like your grandmother Edna before you….and even though she passed many years before she could share this with you, i know you made her proud …you wrote such an eloquent tribute of how special being a member of the Eastern Star made you feel closer to her.
This just exemplified how Family meant everything to you, and it showed in so many ways. You’d be the first one to start talking about and planning who’s turn it was to host the Collins Christmas or family get togethers. Who’s bringing what etc….and always ready with a plan! Without hesitation you’d always be the first to jump in and help with the cooking, cleaning etc or whatever else needed doing any time we all got together.
You didn’t let the pandemic and Covid become an obstacle during lockdown but rather instead you learned to navigate Zoom and found a way to give your cousin Amber a beautiful virtual baby shower. You invented a fun safe solution to still see everyone at Christmas and bring joy to everyone! … and hence the Santa Train was born! You and Jimmy decorated your car and drove two hours to make a fun visit by dropping off your amazing & thoughtful food baskets full of everyone’s favourite treats, presents, and including your famous delicious homemade Baileys and fruitcakes, to all our porches! Once we reloaded your car with our presents and goodies to be delivered back to your end, you were back on your way home to deliver again. A short but fun and very welcome visit to make Christmas a lil brighter and happier to all! We will never forget how you dressed up with a musical elf hat and danced around on our porch! You are our Buddy the Elf. A true kid at heart with the biggest Christmas spirit! A pure gentle soul with a heart of gold and gone far too soon.
Love you always, Aunt Lesley & Uncle Gary

Jim, Peggy, Bob and those she claimed as family, I cannot find the words to express my feelings over the sudden loss of Sherri. While we may have drifted apart physically, she was never far from my thoughts. She was a sister of my heart, regardless of the distance between us. Sherri had the soul and strength of a tiger; and its no wonder that she found kinship with such a beautiful force of nature for it was a physical embodiment of her spirit. I am grateful to have known such a fiercely passionate person, and through the years there were times of joy, sadness, fear, anger and laughter. I wouldn't trade it for all the riches in the world. It saddens me that her star is no longer with us on earth to shine brightly. But I imagine the tiger is stalking the celestial sky until she is reunited with her loved ones once more. In the meantime, I grieve with thee.
Goodbye Sherlock, my friend, my sister of the heart. I miss you.

Sherri,
You leave a hole in our family that will never be filled. The overwhelming loss for Jim and your parents is not comprehensible.
I never imagined our lives wouldn’t run in parallel. Born exactly one month apart, we were always there to witness the other’s life. Over 49 years there are so many things to remember, but it’s your laugh I hear now.
I still don’t know how to start processing this. It feels unreal.
I love you.

I am honored to have known and worked with Sherri. She lit up everyone's day. The passengers loved her just as much as her fellow workers. Some of our passengers very seldom get out but Sherri made it an enjoyable ride by listening and joking with the clients. People would look forward to having her as their driver. As DARTS drivers we are on the streets 8 hours a day and are always concerned about exiting the bus into a live lane of traffic. Sherri was on the sidewalk! This doesn't make sense. Sherri was too young for this senseless accident. The DARTS family and all the clients have lost a beautiful young lady stolen from us way too soon. We are all devastated. My heartfelt condolences go out to all her family and her DARTS family who will sorely miss her.
