I am sorry I missed Jim’s passing as I had moved away from Screek a few yrs ago. I worked with Jim at Boonstra many years ago. Jim was very much the consummate tradesman. His knowledge and experience he shared freely. As a young apprentice, I always looked forward working with Jim. In a trade where some of the jobs were particularly difficult or even quite objectional, he always had a good attitude, and we shared many laughs together.
We both ended up working in the local school boards and that gave us both more time for family which I know was so important to Jim.
My deepest condolences to Joan and his family. Jim was the real deal.
