My dear and beloved Aunt, Darlene Lynch Caprice passed away on the evening of Feb 23rd, at St. joseph's hospital, surrounded by the care and love of her family and dear friends. My father, her sister (and my mother) her sister in law and her nieces and nephews (including myself) were all there for her and were devastated by this turn of events.
I have particularly been having a difficult time with the passing of my aunt and apologize for my delay in making this. My aunt partially raised me in her frequent visits and assistance in babysitting me. My Aunt Darlene was an avid gamer, habitually so. She had so much experience and love of the Video game world/industry for her matured age that it fascinated me as a child. Whenever she would visit, she would bring her consoles or games she was currently working on. I would always watch her playing some RPGs or some adventure Fantasy games. She basically made me fall in love with jRPGs, player stats and all that jazz, not to mention games as a whole. It is safe to say she is part of what made me who I am today.
She would end up playing online multiplayer games and came to make many friends through her favourites like Fantasy Star Universe. She was known by her friends online as Cat, and was always an empathetic, compassionate person to all her family and those that gamed with her, if a bit soft-spoken and reserved. Indeed, she was so independent and selfless even into her finals days, but she was such an amazing person nonetheless and I loved her!
Thank you everyone for the condolences and prayers towards my aunt and her family. It's so heartwarming to know she had so many that cared for her. I pray that my aunt is in her final fantasy, a better world for her beyond this mortal realm. She will be missed and never forgotten.
