I remember Mr. Haist from my days at SDHS back in the 80"s. He was a wonderful man and very passionate about his students. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of sorrow.

40 years from graduation there are very few Teachers I recall. Mr. Haist is one of the few. Gentle, kind, funny and a teacher that left you with thought provoking questions.
Someone who you knew loved his job, and his students.

Our deepest sympathies go out to all the members of Clint's family. It was a shock when we saw Clint's obit in the paper. He was a kind man who always had a smile on his face and who was ready to share a laugh or two (or three)! I truly enjoyed the many years that I spent teaching with him at SHS, as well as the years he taught me during my high school years. Clint will always have a special place in our hearts.
