Obituary of Mary Kay Arnold

Mary Kay Arnold was born on February 3rd, 1948 in Stettler, Alberta, Canada to beloved Glenna Eglin and Edward Anderson. She passed away on Sunday, January 30th, 2022 at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario at the age of 74.  Mary was raised in the Richmond Hill region of Ontario, Canada. She later married William Donald Morgan Arnold of Richmond Hill, Ontario and had two daughters Tina and Billy-Joe. In 1976 due to her husband’s employment, they moved to Stoney Creek, Ontario where they raised their children. Mary was a devoted wife and mother who took pride in taking care of her family.  She also enjoyed a good cup of tea and spending time with neighbourhood friends. Mary enjoyed crocheting, crafts, and sewing. She was always inspired to be creative. She also took pride in her surroundings and enjoyed entertaining loved ones in her home. She would often have Mary Kay cosmetic parties and Tupperware parties in her home. She was a beautiful hostess.

Later in 1986, Mary divorced William Arnold and remained in the matrimonial home. In 2003, Mary lived with her youngest daughter Billy-Joe and her three grandsons. In July, 2015, she moved into a beautiful seniors independent living building at 395 Mohawk Road in Hamilton, Ontario. Mary met many lovely residents and enjoyed the social events. She would go to weekly exercise classes, tea time socials, Christmas luncheons, the ice cream parlour and beautiful walks around the garden pathways at the residence. Mary also spent much time going to church and attending a ladies bible study. Everyone just loved Mary and often referred to her as “Miss Mary”.  Her tender bright smile and gentle kindness always warmed peoples hearts.

Mary was a beautiful tender soul who loved with a gentle vulnerability. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was always evident, she bragged about them to everyone she met. If you met her, you couldn’t help but smile. Mary will be missed very deeply by her family. Mary is in the presence of a loving and tender God now and peace will be hers for eternity.

Mary Kay Arnold is survived by her two daughters, Tina Kathleen Gibbs-Arnold, Billy-Joe Cedillos-Arnold. Her dearly beloved grandchildren, Brandi-Jo Martha Gibbs, Thomas William-Arnold Gibbs, Tara-Jean Kathleen Gibbs, Mateo James Arnold-Cedillos, Marcus Arturo Cedillos, Lucas William Cedillos.
