Our sympathies to you Joyce, and to your family. We just finished watching Peter's funeral online, and it brought back good Fruitland CRC memories, as family members mentioned, of his ready smile and kindness. My sincere condolences to the family Grandma & Grandpa Tilstra babysat my sister and I for years and years when we were younger. I am so thankful for the care and love we received from such a young age. Even though we were not blood-related we were welcomed, loved, and cared for as if we were. Their home became our second home, and we loved every minute of our time here. My favorite memories of Grandpa Tilstra are playing outside with us and letting us help in the barn and yard. He always prayed for us and with us before every meal and made his presence known if we were being bad for Grandma. I can see his smile and chuckle laugh where his whole upper body would be giggling too if my sister and I did something funny. Growing up part-time in their home is something I'll forever be grateful for. Grandpa Tilstra you are loved by so many and thank you for teaching us the importance of having a relationship with God from such a young age. Praying for the family Much love Rachael Klunder
