First Christmas without you Dad ...
Wanted to call you today to say I love you, but your old number is no longer in service.
I tried the operator, but she said I'm sorry I have no number for you.
I tried to go to your house, but you don't live there anymore.
The post office has no forwarding address.
I guess heaven is just too far away.
We love you, we miss you, you are in our hearts always.
Miss you everyday nothing is the same without you!

I was blessed to have had Jack’s as my father-in-law for over 25 years. Jack was an amazing and kind man who loved life. He was so happy when he interacted with his grandchildren. We enjoyed many family dinners with him. Jack was always there to lend a hand. RIP Jack and thank you for everything you did for me and my children. Love you xo.
Ironically while sorting through a drawer today, I stumbled on this card Jack gave me almost 9 years to the day. I will cherish this memory of his whit forever.

May you Rest In Peace Uncle Jack. We did not get the chance to spend a lot of time together but you will be greatly missed.
I have enjoyed many a chuckle from stories that my dad has told me about the shenanigans you and your siblings got up to in your childhood back home in Scotland.
But I know my parents have wonderful memories of the time you spent together on your travels with them upon them moving to Canada also.
We will all miss you xx

My Uncle Jack, he was always so giving of himself with me and my brother Al, always there to lend a hand when needed.
He was my sounding board when I needed advice, my shoulder to cry on when Life through me for a loop.
I loved his jokes. He had the best sense of humour.
I will miss him dearly, but he is at peace now with many loved ones to greet him.
My most heartfelt condolences Al, Ian, Laurie and Glenn.

When we packed up his house in 2014, I found a Father's Day card I sent him about 20 years ago. I kept it with the intention of someday reading it at his funeral. Since there won't be a funeral, I want to share it here.

On December 30, 2021 the world lost a beautiful man whom I loved dearly. I have never seen a better example of a father and grandfather. I feel lucky to have met him and been a part of his life. I was just looking at pictures that morning of Jack and I. We were having such a fun time at snapchat during one of the Christmas family get togethers. I will truly miss you in our lives.
