I am sincerly sad for your loss. Your father was a great man who truly enjoyed the thrill of a good garage sale.Over the years we would routinely see each other in passing in the stoney creek area with our garage sale list in tow.We would swap stories on his grand children and he would show my three boys the "Good Deals" to look for.He was kind and patient and will be dearly missed. My children and I will think of him on opening day of garage sale season.

I am very sad to hear of the passing of your dad. I still remember the very first time I met him! He was having a nap in his volvo in the Lakehead University residence parking lot! At that moment, I didn't know that I would become such good friends with his daughter, Diane, and that I'd be seeing his friendly smile for many years to come! Mr. Guthrie was a sweet and loving man who always made me smile. I'm deeply sorry for your loss.

What a shock to see the notice in todays paper. I talked to Ron in downtown Stoney Creek several months ago. As I walked toward him he got that big grin on his face .. He gave the best bear hugs.
My heartfelt "sorry for your loss" to all of his family.
