Obituary of Pauline Gulliver

GULLIVER, Pauline Passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her daughter Billie, on Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Mom was born on April 21, 1912 and lived a long and accomplished life. Married to the late Tom Gulliver (1991) who was the former Police Chief for Saltfleet and Stoney Creek. Mom worked right beside Dad taking police calls and often serving dinner to transfer criminals at her table as the police jail cell was in the basement of her home. She always offered them respect and received in return. Mom worked at Christmas for the Post Office to earn extra money to spend on her adored daughters. She was also a top salesperson at Robinson's with her best friend Olive Nagle. In her later years Mom was the Returning Officer in two elections and received many accolades on her fair and honest work ethics. Predeceased by her parents Paul and Cynthia Wilson and two beloved brothers Bill and Victor and loving sister Violet. Mom spent her final years at Queen's Gardens and we cannot express enough thanks for their loving and cheerful care. Mom thought of them as her home away from home. Loving mother of Arlene and Bill Wert and Billie and Peter Yakiwchuk. Dear grandmother of Bill and Lisa Wert, Judi Wert and Tom and Kelly Yakiwchuk, great-grandchildren Kellie, Victoria and Kyle Wert and Taylor and Matthew Yakiwchuk.
