Obituary of Lorraine Marilyn Kristoff

After a battle with Alzheimer’s, Lorraine Marilyn Kristoff, age 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 8^th, 2021.  Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Gord and Irene; her siblings Glen and Roy and her dear Uncle George.  She is survived by her beloved husband Steve and loving sister Carol.  Cherished mother of Paul (Janet), and Peter (Daljit).  Step-Mother to Karen (Paul), Kelly (Dominic) and Steven. Step-Grandmother to Michael, Alex, Alicia, Branden, Campbell, Cassie, Taryn, Jeffrey and Great-Grandmother to their respective children.  Loving Aunt to her many nieces and nephews. After a lengthy career at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, Lorraine volunteered for many years at the St. Joseph’s Healthcare Centre.  She was also a very active member of the Stoney Creek United Church and, in earlier years, with Scouts Canada. Lorraine and Steve loved to travel with many friends and family. She also enjoyed spending time reading her favourite novels and cherished her fury cat friends Blacky, Blue and Bernie. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from1-2:30 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 3 p.m.  A small, private reception will follow.
