Obituary of Joseph Raymond Roy

Passed away peacefully, at St. Peter’s Hospital, on Sunday, September 5, 2021, after a brave battle with cancer at the age of 26. Beloved husband and best friend of Melissa. Dearly loved son of Crystal and Raymond. Loved brother of Valerie (Drew), William and Kayla. He will be greatly missed by his grandmother Norma Vaudry. Predeceased by grandparents Peter MacDonald, Roland Vaudry, Wallace and Albina Roy. Cherished nephew of Blaine, Michelle (John), Peter and Steve. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephew Ally, Kaelyn, Paige, Christian and Skylar and by his cousins Dakota, Brandon, Cassie, Paige, Cameron, Samantha and Kylar. Joseph will be missed and forever remembered by his best friend Justin. He was the loved son-in-law of Jacqueline and Warren (Sheila) and brother-in-law of Chris (Jenn). Joseph loved cars, especially old muscle cars. He enjoyed spending time with his love, Melissa, watching Jurassic Park, playing Halo, and listening to his favourite metal music. He also loved the movie Nightmare Before Christmas, even naming his dog Zero. He will be deeply missed and always remembered for having the most loving heart. He was always concerned for everyone he loved, putting their needs ahead of himself. Heartfelt thank you to the staff of St. Peter’s and Juravinski Hospital. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. which will be livestreamed to the Donald V.
