Leonard was a pleasure to meet and know. I wish I had the opportunity to know him better as I didn't spend much time with him but he made a very big impression on me, I will always remember him as a gentleman, very kind & had quite a sense of humor & wit! He knew how to put a smile on your face & make you feel at ease! My condolences to the whole family during this difficult time. What a memorable influence on many a career in teaching! Len, (oops) Mr Hewitt was a mentor to all with whom he came in contact in education, in the church and in the Masonic order as well. In every generation there are those who are hallmarks of all that is good and kind and caring. This valiant man was indeed one off those guiding lights that showed the way to all who would see. He was indeed a person of vision and foresight and shone out above all others. May you at peace and made perfectly whole. Thanks for the memories, sir. Rev. Charlie Hogg

I’m saddened to hear of the passing of Len Hewitt. When I entertained the residents at Orchard Terrace every month (pre-covid days) Len always sat at the front to sing along! His spicy jokes and witty comments always made the gang laugh! He will be sorely missed. -Marion Shynal

So sorry to hear that Uncle Leonard had passed away. He helped me in my search for a job back in 1961 and was master of ceremonies at my wedding in 1965. He was always there to help no matter how busy he was in his personnel like. Rest in Peace Uncle Leonard, you certainly deserve it.
