Obituary of Irene Buxton

(nee Thornton)

March 10, 1920 - August 26, 2021

Irene, in her 102nd year passed away peacefully at Heritage Green Nursing Home. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Predeceased by her husband of 51 years Jim Buxton (1993) and daughter Noreen Buxton (1997), and sister Jennie Smith (2007). Loving mother of Sharon (David) Bellows, Dan (Gail) Buxton, Dave (Anne) Buxton. Loving grandmother to Bradley, Curtis, Julie, Kyle, Adam and Caitlin. Great Grandma, affectionately known as "GG" to her eleven precious great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the nursing staff and others at Heritage Green for their loving care of Mom, and for the many friends who supported and loved our Mom throughout the difficult period of covid isolation.
