Obituary of Helen Postma

Helen Marion Victoria Postma (née Hartwell)

Born May 24, 1932, died August 22, 2021 in Hamilton, Ontario in her 90th year. Helen was predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband Stanley Postma earlier this year after their marriage of more than 66 years. She was mother to Marjorie (Russell) Cowper, John (Lynn) Postma, Lewis Postma, Marion (Samuel) Salmon and Lisa Robitaille. The family now includes 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Helen trained as a nurse before she met and married Stanley Postma. She was a truth-seeker and a keen Bible student who enjoyed sharing what she learned with others. Helen enjoyed teaching piano students and playing and singing along with others. Her blue eyes and infectious smile will be missed.

Helen was appreciative of all those who provided care for her, including her doctors, pharmacists, and the staff of Orchard Terrace Care Centre.
