What a shock to hear of Paul's passing. Nothing prepares you for the day when someone you knew passes on. We had the privilege of being Paul and Irma's pastors at Calvary from 1998 to 2004. Paul became a dear friend during those years and a great cheerleader! His was a voice of wisdom and compassion in our board and church in those days. He was an exceedingly good man who loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. No words of man can provide comfort to the family but save the Lord himself. Know that we are in prayer for the loved ones even as Paul has been promoted to his eternal reward. RIP.

When we frst saw Irma-Joy's posting about Paul, we just could not believe it. Paul always looked fit, and very healthy. A couple of hours later, we saw Noell's posting. Then reality started to set in. Paul always stood strong in his faith, and was a very Godly man. We are sure that when Paul saw Jesus, he would have heard as in Matthew 25:23: "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant'......". When we first met Paul and Irma-Joy, several years ago, we had an instant connection to them. We were fortunate to be in several Bible Studies with them, and have many fond memories. Irma-Joy and family, we stand with you during this time, and will be praying for you. We will all miss Paul, but we can also join you in the celebration of Paul being promoted to Glory. Sending you our love, Dave and Judy

Dear Irma and family
I know there are no words to ease the pain that is in your hearts. But the joy of knowing you will see him again is so comforting. We remember the good times we spent with you both sharing the Word and the promises of Jesus. May you continue the walk of faith and be salt and light.
Love Bill and Eleanor

It is with much grief to be writings these words. Paul has always been a strong brother-in-law to have in my life. At family gatherings he would ask me how I’m doing especially since losing my husband, his brother-in-law and now they are together waiting at the Eastern Gate for us along with our family members.
It’s with much sympathy for Irma and his children and his mom and siblings. I’m so sorry....

What a shock to hear of the unexpected passing of our dear friend of 65 years, Paul. I first met the Tinus family in 1956 when we arrived in Canada and for a few months lived on the Kubinec farm across the road from the Tinus family. From then on we would often have fellowship with them in home visits and church services in various places as both families moved from time to time. Paul was always there, a faithful friend.
In 1969 I joined Paul and his Dad for a three week tour of Europe to do some important church business, especially behind the iron curtain. That was a special time of bonding in even deeper friendship with Paul.
In 1971 I married Patricia and my good friend Paul was an honored member of the wedding party.
Then for the next 40 years my wife and I did church and humanitarian work mostly in Eastern Europe. Paul's Dad and family helped us a great deal to get started in this important mission as we worked with them side by side for a few years, based in Vienna, Austria.
Unfortunately this resulted in my seeing my faithful friend, Paul, very rarely. However, he was always a part of my life story and I am surely going to miss him.
Our sincere condolences to Paul's faithful wife, Irma, and the rest of his lovely family.
