I was saddened to hear of Bonnie’s passing.Although we didn’t see each other on a daily basis, we spoke almost daily by 2 way radio or phone for the better part of 30 years. After the details of the call were given we’d usually chat for a couple minutes about random things happening at work or in the world. It’s these conversations I’ll remember because they broke up an otherwise boring day and put a little levity in it.Bonnie will always be remembered with a smile. She felt just like family.

My sincere condolences to Bonnie's family on her recent passing. I cannot believe Bonnie is gone. I know that it's almost two weeks later but it still feels unreal. I'm happy she had at least a year of retirement but she should have had so many more. At least she is no longer in pain. I will always treasure the week that she and I had together on Grand Cayman in 2011. Rest in peace, my friend.
Hugs from Joanna & Jake

I first met Bonnie on Prospect st in Hamilton back in 1995. We became fast friends. I am so thankful for her and the positive impact she had on my life. Having no family family support and a husband who was never home busy with flying all over North America with his job. Bonnie was always there to lend her support . Bonnie became my family. If I knew two weeks ago was going to be the last time I saw you I would of hug you a lot tighter. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. I will surely miss the presence of a truly lovable and kind person ..Carolyn Baker.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Stewart, Deb & family,
Sorry to hear of Bonnie’s passing.
One memory I have...There was a grade 8 volleyball tournament at Orchard Park Secondary School. Bonnie was serving and all the boys started to cheer her on, but she stopped and yelled “shut up”. The girls said it made Bonnie nervous when cheered on while serving. Apparently, the boys didn’t get the memo before the tournament started. They didn’t win, but it sure was better than sitting in a class of American History.
“Let’s go Bellmore!”
Our deepest sympathy.
