Obituary of Molly Jean McDonald

September 10, 1921 – June 1, 2021

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Molly McDonald in her 100th year. Predeceased wife of Frank.  Molly passed away peacefully at home with her daughter by her side. Loving mother of Frank (Pat) and Heather Shaw.  Grandma will be sadly missed by Kerry (Glen), Frankie (Melissa), Cathy, Jeanene (Mike) and Barb (Brian).  Cherished Granny Mac to her eleven great-grandchildren Vanessa, Nicole, Aidan, Kieran, Kelsey, Geoffrey, Sarah, Jessica, Michael, Jaxx and Samuel.  Molly will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Canada and England.  The family would like to thank PSW Nancy and palliative nurse Rachel for their care and compassion with Molly these past few weeks.  Due to current restrictions a private family service will take place on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, Stoney Creek followed by a private interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. All services will be available through livestream on the Funeral Home Facebook page at 1 p.m.  A celebration of Molly’s life will be held at a later date.  Molly was most proud of her family and forever remembered for her smile.  The memories will last forever.
