Obituary of Heather Lynn Stowe

(nee Wells)

September 17, 1957-May 29, 2021

It is with loving heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Heather Lynn Stowe at the age of 63.  She passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side from a brief but courageous and dignified battle with cancer.  Waiting to take her home was her father and mother Bob and Lois Wells and her brother Paul Wells.  Heather is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 40 years, Peter, her daughter Brooke and husband Rob Taylor and her grandchildren Kaleb and Landon Taylor.  She will be dearly missed by her sister Susan Brown (Bob) and her brothers Rob Wells (Aileen) and Jim Wells (Louise, predeceased), her extended Stowe family, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and her soul sisters Colleen, Trudy and Patti.

Heather was a soft-spoken, kind, loving person and had time for everyone.  Her positive outlook was inspiring.  Heather and Pete connected in 1978, became best friends for life and as they say the rest is history.  In 1980 their daughter Brooke completed their family.  Brooke and Rob then blessed her with 2 beautiful grandsons, who brought joy and sunshine into her life.

Heather enjoyed camping, cooking and was an avid reader.  Her paintings were inspired by her love for nature and the beach.  There was a special place in her heart for her soul sisters.  She recently took the time to make light catchers to pass on sunshine and energy for others to enjoy.

She had a short but special bond with her loving and caring home care Nurse Linda.  No words can express the gratitude the family has for her dedication, time, guidance and company during this difficult time.  Special thanks to all of those that took the time to reach out, support her and make her laugh.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life in the future.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Fort Erie Conservation Club in Heather’s honour.

Heather’s “Spirit in the Sky” is flying with the Angels.
