Dear Barb
Our memories of you and Ken were primarily from our monthly Seniors Luncheons at Bethel Gospel Tabernacle. There was lots of laughter over the famous duo ‘Ken and Barbie’. You both were a very lovely pair that brought joy to the group with your presence. What a special family you have. We pray for God’s continued peace and comfort. Truly we anticipate a great reunion not far off.

My sympathies to the Gerrard family on the passing of Mr Gerrard. I remember him as a quiet but consistent and steady man. He was a committed family man and led a fine family. Bob, Norma and Sharron, you are blessed to have had such a good man as your father. Mrs Gerrard, you are a gem and you were blessed to have a good Christian man as your life partner. God bless your family as you navigate the days ahead.

Proud to have an uncle like Uncle Ken. Great memories from Brandy Lake, Burgoyne Woods, Christmas gatherings, and more. And making cross-country trips to be at our three kids’ weddings. Wonderful to be blessed by his life well lived. Our love and sympathy to Aunt Barb, Bob, Norma Lynn, and Sharon and their families. We are praying for you.

Jeff and l were saddened to read that Ken had passed away. We are so sorry for your loss Barb and to your family. He was such a kind and gentle soul and recovered so well from his stroke a few years ago. We were amazed at how well he carried on as if it was nothing. All the tributes to Ken on FB focus on his love for his family. He was truly a family man and a grand husband to my sister, Barbara.
He was taken so very rapidly from diagnosis to final days, a few short weeks. It seems surreal. He will be missed.
Throughout the years when planning for family celebrations for the Hill family, Ken was always there quietly attending to details that would make the events successful.
In recent years we would have Sunday lunch together as couples and our topic of conversation would often turn to baseball because Ken was a Blue Jays fan and so am I. He liked to watch a baseball game even during his recent illness. Lunch on Sunday won’t be the same. R.I.P. Ken.

Our deepest sympathy go out to the family of Ken. It was nice growing up with a police officer as a neighbour. My parents, Cliff and Mildred, also wish to send out their condolences.
