Obituary of Evelyn Blanche Jones

JONES, Evelyn Blanche (nee May)

Peacefully at Caressant Care McLaughlin, Lindsay, Ontario on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in her 102nd year.  Loving wife of Harold, predeceased 1983.  Dear mother to Richard and his wife Debbie, Harold, predeceased, daughter-in-law Linda and her husband Jim Richardson and Janice and her husband Richard Skinner.  Loving and devoted grandmother to Stephen and his wife Jennifer and Jennifer and her husband Frank DeTina.  Proud great-grandmother to Mitchell and Matthew Jones and Noah and Faith DeTina.  Dear sister to Beverley Wallis and Franklin May, predeceased.  Daughter of the late Rose and Franklin May.  Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and great aunt to many great nieces and nephews.   Dear friend of the late Jack Farnworth.  

Evelyn will be fondly remembered by many cherished friends and neighbours from her 62 years in Stoney Creek where she and Harold raised their three children on Battlefield Drive.  Her last five years were spent in Lindsay and her family expresses special thanks to the nurses and staff for the wonderful care she received at Caressant Care McLaughlin.   Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place in the future.   Donations in honour of Evelyn’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes, Honey Fund, at www.hskl.ca.  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
