Obituary of Donald J. Roy
On March 17, 2021 our father was summoned by our Lord to rejoin him with his wife Bridget in Heaven to celebrate the love they share. Sadly with pride and tears, Papa leaves behind his children and grandson; Maryanne, Don and Theresa and Connor. Since 1928, Donald was an avid lover of music always singing and creating lyrics, sometimes strumming guitar or playing harmonica. Don is a retired Iron Worker having worked on numerous building and bridge projects throughout North America. Always a gardener and watcher of weather awaiting the spring thaw to plant his garden and regularly weeding it to produce a fresh crop of tomatoes which Bridget then turned into spaghetti sauce or they simply ate them fresh off the vine. Together again our hope is they are both planning their garden in heaven and singing songs as we cherish the love they instilled here for us to enjoy and remember. Special thanks to Juravinski, St. Peter’s, St. Joseph’s and General hospitals, LHIN Doctors, nurses and staff. A private immediate family gathering to celebrate Donald rejoining Bridget to take place followed by final private burial at Mountview Gardens Cemetery. Flowers, gifts or donations to Alzheimer’s Society or charities of your choice is appreciated by the family.
