Obituary of Faith Hare

HARE, Laura Faith (nee Vollick) 

Passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, in her 89th year, with her sons by her side. Beloved wife of 65 years to the late Lawrence Burns (2018). Cherished mother of Calvin (Cheryl), James (Maria), the late Stanley (2020) and Kenneth (Doris). A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her dear brother Kenneth (Helene), sister-in-law Betty (the late Jack) and by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Grace (Bern Hilts), Ruth (John Reeves) and Ethel (John Early). Faith was an active member of Stoney Creek Baptist Church, devoting her earlier years playing piano for the Sunday School. She enjoyed simple pleasures and was a dear friend to many. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Heritage Green Nursing Home for their dedication and care. Due to Covid Restrictions, a private family visitation and service will be held. For those who wish, the Service will be livestreamed on the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home Facebook page on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 12 p.m. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
