Obituary of Valerie Anna Vandenberg

Valerie has begun her new adventure on February 28, 2021 peacefully at Juravinski Hospital in her 68th year.  Valerie will be dearly missed by her parents Valdmar and Natalie.  Cherished mother of Michael and Jessica (Andrew).  Devoted nana of Ryker.  Survived by her sister and best friend Nina, brother George, sister Anna, Uncle Boris (Madja), nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and USA.  She will also be missed by her loving feline companion Sophie.  Valerie was very talented and had a passion for art.  She was very generous and volunteered with the Stoney Creek Food Bank where she made numerous friends while helping those in need in the community.  Cremation has taken place.  A private family service will take place and invite family and friends to livestream the service on Donald V. Brown Funeral Home Facebook page on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 1 p.m.  Private interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to Juravinski Hospital would be appreciated.  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
