Obituary of Brian Bain
Passed away after a brief illness on Feb. 21, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton. Brian was the beloved husband of Doris (nee Daniels) for 59 years. He was a great dad to Brenda and Michele, and “Poppy” was loved by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was important to Brian, and he will be missed by his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and sister-in-law. Also feeling the loss are Rick, Jamie, Bruce and Lyle, as well as many other good friends that shared adventures at the trailer, on the golf course and in his shop. Brian was a respected mechanic who worked for Shell Canada for over 30 years until he started Brian’s Auto Service and worked out of the shop on his property until his retirement in 2009. He was a well-known member of the Binbrook community, who believed in helping people whenever he was able to. Brian could always be counted on to sell tickets for fund-raisers, buy tickets for fund-raisers and support any raffle he came across. His shop was always open for anyone to drop in and visit, except during the summer when he and Doris would move up to the trailer where they have been an active part of the Buckslide community. The family would like to thank the staff at Hamilton General Hospital and St. Peter’s Hospital for their care. A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Glanbrook Community Services or a charity of your choice. Online condolences and notes of sympathy may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
