Obituary of Ivo Leandro Ferreira

Passed away unexpectedly, at Hamilton General Hospital, on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the age of 44. Beloved husband and best friend of Karina for 12 years. His children were his world, and he was the proud and devoted father of Gabriel Ferreira, Vanessa Ferreira, Leandro Manuel Ferreira, with one on the way, soon to be named Ivo. Loved son of Olivia Arruda Feleja and the late Afonse Manuel Guilherme Ferreira and son-in-law of Corina Espinoza and Augusto Campos. Dear brother of Rui Ferreira, Pedro Ferreira, Nesia Ferreira and Nelson Ferreira. He will be dearly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and friends, both in Portugal and Canada. Ivo will be remembered for having a heart of gold. He was always willing to help anyone in need, whether it be a friend or family member, or someone he had just met. He was patient and kind, and loved the chance to teach anyone what he knew. Our world is upside down, as we have lost the greatest husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday and Thursday from 3-7 p.m. A private family Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 1 p.m. and will be livestreamed directly to the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home Facebook Page. Private family interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, in accordance with the Bereavement Authority of Ontario facial mask/coverings are required.  Please visit the Funeral Home website to register your attendance for services due to limited space availability.  Visitors will only be accepted by scheduled appointment and will be asked to wait in their vehicle until their allotted time.
