Obituary of Ada Savelli
SAVELLI, Ada (nee Platt)
Peacefully went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2021 at the age of 88 at the Clarion Nursing Home, in Stoney Creek. Ada will be reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Lawrence Savelli. Much loved mother of the late Lawrence Jr., Christina and the late Glenn Pearce, Peter and J’Neene Savelli. Cherished grandmother of Peter and Chanda Giacomelli, Dina and Kerrol Francis, Christina and Jeremy Hoffmann, Gianna, Ronnie, Jimmy, Joey, Krista, Zachary, and Boston Savelli and great-grandmother of Lorenzo, Amelia, Matthew, Sophia, Sammy, Maia, and KJ. Survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Gordo, Mary and Nello, Angelo, Harry and Jenny. She will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents James and Elsie Platt, brothers and sisters- in-law Joe and Nicki, Dino and Evelyn, Betty, Leno and Shirley, Quinto, Anne, Margaret. Ada had a love of fashion, travel and all things simple. She had an immense love for her children and her family. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Stoney Creek. She will always be remembered by many family and friends. Much appreciation and gratitude for the efforts of all the staff and caregivers at the Clarion nursing home who took such great care of Ada. We also would like to thank Dr. Fernandez for his constant care and for the guidance of Sister Agnes during her long battle with dementia. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Dementia Action Network would be appreciated by the family. Due to COVID-19 restrictions private family services have taken place.
