My deepest sympathy to the schlosser family at this sad time. Growing up on Faircourt in Stoney Creek I have many memories of the love of sports Allan instilled in his children. I picture him in his striped referee uniform. My thoughts are with all of you.

I’m sorry for your loss. I did not know Al personally but he was a friend of my late husband Art Fairley. They played Basketball at Central SS in the 50’s and maintained their friendship through coaching and refereeing. My fantasy is that they are up there playing a game and having a great time. Keep safe

Dear cousins, most especially Myrna, your presence and support during Al's illness was so welcomed. Al could rest at the end of his life because of all you did. I will always remember Al's big laugh, his perfect weedless garden (especially his kale and tomatoes), his monitoring of the drama of American politics and his love of sports. He will be missed. Sending our love to you all.

We are sad to hear of Al's passing. I am disappointed that I never found a CFL card after much searching, that Al told me he posed for when he was with Calgary I believe. His basketball and senior's recreation centre (on King St. in Stoney Creek) work attest to his work ethic.
Our condolences to Myrna, Christine, and rest of the family.(With a nod to our dearly missed step-father, Philip Chopp).

Myrna and family please accept my deepest condolences. Al made a difference playing and refereeing football, playing and organizing basketball, the seniors club, bridge, and then there were the chocolate pizzas. I only knew Al for 40 years but during that time I always appreciated his efforts on getting us basketball court time at: Dofasco, Hillfield, Westdale or smaller gyms accross the city. The last time I saw Al he showed me a picture of him at Leander Boat Club rowing in a heavy eight. He hoped that I would recognized some of the individuals in that boat since I had rowed as well. He left that crew when he got that call from Calgary to play football. I have since found that picture in a Hamilton sports web site. He was well known and respected in the community. I will miss him as I am sure many will. Thanks Al. May you rest in peace.

We in the Hamilton Basketball community owe a special thank you to Al for his dedication in keeping the sport active in Hamilton. Especially for the Masters players 35 years and over. I had the privilege of playing with and against Al for over 50 years. He was a fierce competitor and loyal team mate. He will be sadly missed. Our condolences to Myrna and family.

Our condolences to the Schlosser family. I knew Al only short period of time through the bridge clubs he ran or participated in the past few years. I know that he was a Tiger Cat and basketball player and very active in the community. He will be missed by family and friends alike. May God fine a special place for Al in the big house where there's lots of sports and a good bridge teacher so Al will finally enjoy the game.
God bless and enjoy that heavenly place wherever that place may be.
