Dennis we go back a long time and many happy memories with you both. I understand the loss you feel both now and into the future. It’s a different life style as we mature and cope with the changes that seem to happen both faster and slower. You have my heart felt sympathy

Dennis, the Huron Fringe Birding Festival experience was made richer by the dedication shown by Gwen and yourself to your bluebird nesting box program. You both shared your passion for birds and bluebirds with many for over 35 years and Gwens' records impeccably state that you have fledged over 3050 bluebirds from your nesting boxes in that time, along with over 7,000 Tree Swallows. Amazing! Please accept our appreciation for Gwen's passions, these memories and our thoughts of sympathy.

Gwen had many passions, Denny being the main one, Bluebirds another, and her friends and family. We are so fortunate to have had Gwen & Dennis in our lives as friends and mentors.
Miss you Gwen.

Knowing Gwen was to know happiness. It was openly seen in her partnership with Dennis. It also extended to everyone she met. Who can forget her warm and engaging smile and ever sunny ways.
Gwen enthusiastically shared with Dennis a passion for birds and Eastern Bluebirds I particular. I had the great good fortune to spend a day with them on their Bluebird trail a few years ago. Checking and maintaining the bluebird boxes they had constructed and placed along numerous sideroads close to Sauble Beach was an annual task they undertook for for more that thirty years. Only a few months ago. it was Gwen who enthusiastically e-mailed me to let me know that this year's success they had now had recorded the 3,000th Eastern Bluebird to fledge from those boxes. Dennis tended the boxes. Gwen faithfully and meticulously recorded the data. But it was the obvious shared passion and pleasure that they displayed in their work that left its mark upon me. Gwen was Dennis' alter ego and constant presence. Theirs was a very deep and equal partnership that celebrated the beauty of the natural world around them at every opportunity.
Gwen will be deeply missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing her. May we all meet her again someday, soaring the mystic skies of eternity.
Peter Middleton.
