Don and Theresa were lovely neighbors on Erin. We enjoyed many yummies from Dons garden over the years. My best memory of Don is when he and my Uncle Johnnie, who was visiting from Nova Scotia, discovered they were both in a small Italian town at the same time during the war. Well now many drinks were shared that week in our backyard! My sympathies Theresa and family. Love Carrie Ann

Our condolences to Don's family. One of the last of the old guard of W.W.II vets who willingly gave up their formative years to secure a better future for us all. We will not forget.

I have fond memories of spending time with Uncle Don and the entire Kingston family growing up. I remember how much fun and laughter Grandma (Della) had with her brother. And I know how much Mom (Leona) loved her uncle. Although I haven’t seen Don or the Kingston family in many years Mom kept us up to date. I have thought of you all often and am thinking of you now as you celebrate the veteran, husband, father, grandfather and friend that we all loved.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful remembrance of our dad and our family. Your grandmother (Della) and mom ( Leona) were very much loved by dad and a big part of his life. I am sure he is heaven enjoying time with his family. He is in a better place, but will always remain in our hearts and our lives forever. He was a very special man and we all loved him dearly.

Thank you so much from all of us Keith. We all know how much he thought of you. He would show me the picture of you and him everytime I visited, and talked about the time he spent with you. It meant so much to him when you would visit. Thank you so much for your sentiments. So many great memories I'm sure. Xoxo

Uncle Don was my mother's "baby brother". They were always very close and best friends.
He was always there for me my whole life and I will really miss him.
On his birthday I would always buy him a "dirty card" and he would always laugh and looked forward to them.
I'm glad I talked to him a couple of weeks ago and told him I loved him.
I never thought it would be the last time I talked to him.
I thought for sure he would be there for that big 100 birthday.
Rest in peace Uncle Don give DJ a a hug for me.

Thank you Leona from all of us. I know how much he cared about you. The last time I talked to him he had me laughing about the food at the home. It was a great talk that i will always remember. He was a very special man and will certainly be missed. He is now with his family and has a smile on his face I'm sure. Thank you so much for your kind words. Xoxo
