On behalf of the Ontario Provincial Police Veteran's Association I would like to express our condolences to the Bergshoeff family. Arie.was a long time serving member of the both the OPP Auxiliary and the Veteran's Association. His service and friendship was most appreciated by all who had the good fortune to work and socialize with him. The members of OPPVA Burlington have made a monetary donation to Emmanuel House in his memory.

Lina and I would like to express our condolences to the Bergshoeff family on the death of Arie .
We became friends with Arie in the early 1970s at the Waterdown detachment with Arie being a ride along auxiliary officer
Later I worked along side Arie as his liaison office at the Burlington detachment.
I always found Arie a great fellow to work with and
always a smile to brighten the day.
He will be missed , Rest In Peace

My sincere condolences with the passing of a dear father, grandfather and brother.
The last time we met was at the funeral of his dear wife, only 2 years ago.
May you be comforted by the knowledge that he is now in a better place and no longer suffering.

I regret that I'm unable because of the pandemic to attend in person to pay my respect to Arie whom I have known over the past 25 years through numerous games of golf.
Arie was first and foremost, a gentleman. He accepted his travails of life which were more onerous than those of the many of us, with an equanimity captured in the warmth of his smile. His was a life well lived.
