Jean Friesen is one of those special people that God sends into your life. She made you feel so welcome and so important. When we moved back to Stoney Creek she was there with a dinner invitation before we even started unpacking. She even knew the tastes of a picky five year old who was feeling lost in a new environment. We will be forever grateful for the many years of kindness and caring that Jean brought to our family. Jean was an amazing woman who had the gift of making someone feel part of the family from the moment they walked into her home. She and Dave were strong, independent and highly intelligent people who were very supportive of me when I served Stoney Creek United. They took me to the Hamilton Farmer's Market in the first few weeks I was there and welcomed me into their home for dinners, conversation, a good wine, and even some family gatherings. I count Jean as one of the many truly wonderful "perks" of being a minister at SCUC. She will always live in my memory. Bob
