I was saddened to hear of the passing of such a wonderful woman. In the happy years of playing baseball with her on the Grimsby Peach Queens, Nancy was a focused and committed athlete and caring and inclusive team player. The thoughtful consideration of others she had is something I came to appreciate even more in recent years. My sincere condolences to her family. Mary (Walsh).

This is sad news to comprehend. Nancy is such a beautiful person. She was always that kind of person that loved to get together whenever and wherever. And of course she would hug with a little “hmmm” every time. Her appreciation of other people was so special. We also appreciate her! I’m sure she knew that. She will be so missed.
Condolences to Carly and Christopher and to Linda, Ross and families.

Nancy was a wonderful lady. Always so genuine and quick with a kiss and a hug. She was a truly loving person. I know from the conversations we had over the years that she adored her kids. We always started every conversation with our 'brags about the babies". I will truly miss her. My deepest condolences to Carly, Christopher, Ross and Linda. I'm praying that she is in a happy place surrounded by Morley, Doreen and Marty.

Dear Carly and Christopher,
May God give you strength and comfort as you grieve your mother's death. Nancy was one of the most supportive and encouraging and appreciative parents I have ever come across. Chad too was an amazing person who gave great advise.. I also recall reading the touching memoriums your family put in the newspaper about your father, Marty.
I will be offering prayers for you both in the days to come
God bless you

Nancy was a wonderful person. Nancy and I were teammates on the Grimsby Peach Queens. Nancy was a great teammate and a natural leader. I always thought Nancy would have been the best Mayor of Grimsby. From the players to the parents Nancy was a favorite. Polite and kind. Hearing her speak to my parents Donna and Rudy, always calling them Mrs and Mr Kryshoski, with a big smile. If there’s a heaven she is playing short stop. Nancy was a gift to all who knew her. Deepest condolences to Linda, Ross and her family.

I played hockey with Nancy for years and enjoyed every looking with Nancy. I always joked with her that she led led a fancy life I would love to have when I grew up. A woman with a smile and kindness that could light up a room and a hug that made you feel incredibly loved. I am so incredibly sad to hear of her passing and her battle with mental illness. A sweeter woman I cannot remember meeting. My heart goes out to her children and family. Heaven got a good one last week and she will be incredibly missed.

This was very difficult news to absorb. I met Nancy in 2010 at the Weekend to End Womens Cancer walk. It was the first year the Butterfly of Hope came together and she was supporting Chad during his battle with cancer. I not only had the opportunity to meet her, but we chatted thru many kilometers and crossed the finish line hand-in-hand. I always looked forward to seeing Nancy when ever I returned to the Toronto walks. We met at the end of the OneWalk Friday walk in 2018 when she walked with her brother, Ross. Nancy was fun, smart and a wonderful hugger. The world was definitely a much better place with Nancy in it.
My condolences to her family and friends. She will be terribly missed.

This is the very saddest of news..........Nancy and I were teammates on the Grimsby Peach Queens ,many years ago. Nancy was an awesome shortstop for us and more than that, the BEST of the BEST as a teammate. We shared hours and hours of companionship on and off the field. Nancy was always a class act, she could always be counted on to be there as a teammate or a friend. My family thought the world of her , she stole our hearts and we all thought the world of her. My deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones. with sad sad hearts Jane Houston ( McQueen ) Centrefield Grimsby Peach Queens, the late Mr . & Mrs. Houston ( as Nancy always called them, no matter how old she was) Pollyanna Houston ( Gall)

I cannot think of a time that Nancy did not have that contagious smile on her face. She was my favorite baseball and taught me things that I still use to this day playing baseball. It was always my favorite day when it was her turn to bring snacks to practice because she’d always bring TCBY! Then when Carly and I met back up in highschool Nancy was still that inspirational woman with that contagious smile. Even when she knew we were sneaking bottles of wine out of the house. Nancy will forever be a important part of my life. My deepest condolences to Carly and Chris. Lots of love from my mom and me!

Nancy was one of my dearest friends, starting in grade school. We had great fun playing with our dinky toys, stealing fruit from the nearby fields, playing baseball behind my house. I used to love going swimming in the McCallum pool, especially in winter ‘under the bubble’, and playing in the basement. In our teens, we were on the Grimsby Peach Queens together with Nancy as our star shortstop. As we aged, we would ‘do lunch’ regularly as we both worked in Grimsby, and then we switched to dinners so Lori could join us. On rare occasions, we’d let the men come too, but it was always special times as ‘The Robinson Street Gang’ reminisced.
Nobody really knows us as well as our immediate family and our childhood friends. Nancy was one of those people for me, and my life won’t be the same without her.
To Carly and Chris, and the rest of the McCallum family, my heart goes out to all of you. Cherish all the special times you shared and the great memories you made together. I know I will, as will my husband John.

What a family treasure! Every one of us felt welcomed into your life. Every chat, live or on social media, threw up a 'pearl'. Not least you and Martin have bestowed two more treasures on this earth, your lovely children. And you shared everyone close to you - rather as though they were extended family to others.as well as yourself. Your gentleness benefited so many people and places.
Nobody will ever recall your face without your gentle smile. Nor your voice without something lovely to say.
As your long sleep begins you will be remembered lovingly by Steve, Rae, Rachel, Andy (Samantha) and Mike (Sally). and as your sleep continues candles will continue to glow.
May you rest now in peace.
