Bayden loves and misses Michael deeply. He had a special bond with him and remembers all the fun times they shared in the playground at school. He says he has a new angel watching over him and will always remember him. I remember Michael’s amazing spirit and bright eyes .... he made everyone around him smile! We are very blessed to have known him and he will live on in all our hearts. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Michael showed so much kindness and friendship to my son Leo, the boys were good friends and had great fun together. Michael will be missed enormously, and we will love him forever!

I had the privilege of being Michael’s teacher in Junior and Senior Kindergarten at St.John’s. My first and most vivid memory of Michael was his intense blue eyes. They were truly the windows to his precious soul. His beautiful blue eyes would sparkle with joy and dance with mischief! One look into his beautiful eyes and I could almost read what was on his mind. He was the ‘Pied Piper’ of playtime. Everyone wanted to be a part of whatever Michael was playing and he always, without exception, welcomed everyone into his circle of play. Micheal had many friends that simply adored him. I loved that blue eyed boy and I know he loved me. Knowing that makes me incredibly happy and grateful. Micheal, May you be the angel that I call upon when days are sad and scary, for I know that with your gentle and compassionate ways... all will be good. May you soar with the angels and find comfort in God’s loving embrace. And to Michaels’ parents, there is no greater pain then the passing of your child. I am here for you both. My love to you both.

Michael was one of the Lords most precious children, so much so the Lord called him back early to be with him in a much kinder, gentler and special place. He may no longer be with us in the form of flesh but he is most certainly with us in spirit.
While we are all very saddened I look at that big beautiful smile in that picture and can't help but smile back knowing one day we will all see him again, if we are so deserving, in that very special place.
There is no need to say "God Bless Michael"...he already has.

Dear Iwona and Kevin,
We are heartbroken to to hear the news of Michael's passing. Matthew and Michael have know each other since kindergarten and Matthew will miss seeing Michael on the bus and around school. We will miss seeing Michael having fun in the neighbourhood. Matthew always enjoyed their play dates. Natalie will miss his big imagination and the stories he would tell her whenever they would see each other. He was always full of energy, kindness and fun.

Our entire St. Michael Catholic School Community is heartbroken. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Michael's family. Michael was the first student to speak to me when I came for my initial visit at St. John Catholic School five years ago. His exuberant personality was already evident as he said "Hi!" to me, and then asked who I was. When I was introduced as the new Principal starting in a few weeks, a big smile lit up his face and he exclaimed, "At last, I get a boy Principal!" And he continued to talk to me everyday. I will miss his smile, his willingness to help, and his like-minded interest in Star Wars. I personally will miss Michael immensely.

Michael is an amazing kid, he made me smile often as me and Eddie would walk to the bus stop. He would see us an would run to be first. Then in one breath, would say I'm first then would look at Hershey and would pet her. Sabrina loved tutering him and baby sitting Michael and Tiago loved having him as a reading buddy. Michael will be missed by us all.
