Dr. Chagnon, Bev, Paul, Jim, Jan and families:
I am heartbroken for you all at this time as I feel like we’re all part of the extended Valley Dr. family. There will probably never be another street or time like it.
I can still see Mrs. Chagon’s smiling face and cute laugh. Nothing seemed to “phase her” no matter WHAT mess we got into as kids.
I liked being at your house. The hotdogs were WAY BETTER at 82 Valley Dr than they were at 78. I always tried to be on my best behaviour when I knew they were on the upcoming lunch time menu. I must have pulled it off, because I remember being invited OFTEN! Plus, I put up with Bev for all those years, so that HAD to be worth something.....lol.
She was just a very loving, genuine person. She will be missed terribly by many.
Love to all - Nanci (Coombs) Despond

Robert and Georgina Waind posted a condolence

It was through my husband, Robert B. Waind that I met Ted, Jane and their children in 1977. Jane always greeted me with a smile as did her husband Ted. Jane had an amazing sense of humour and every time we were together, there was always a funny story being told. I believe that sense of humour was genetically transferred to all her children. All my contacts with Ted and Jane in the early years were at the top of The Blue Mountains where Ted and Jane had a chalet in a small community called Swiss Meadows. Jane loved to ski. Ted and Jane were well known in Swiss Meadows as they were one of the early residents of Swiss Meadows. Jane's Bridge friends and golfing friends will all miss her very much. Our sympathies go out to the family.
Georgina and Robert Waind - Swiss Meadows
