Obituary of Eric Harold Thompson

Eric Harold Thompson passed away suddenly but peacefully of natural causes on January 24, 2020. He is survived by the love-of-his-life Tracey, his sister Heather, and his mother Meredith (née Lapp), wife of the late Frank Thompson.

Eric was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, on September 4, 1982, and landed in Hamilton in 2007. He soon began his career at Shoppers Drug Mart, and was looking forward to managing his own store. He accepted the Lord as his Saviour and started attending Faith Baptist Church in 2017. There, he met and began dating Tracey Orr in a whirlwind romance. He proposed on November 20, 2019, and they planned to be married February 29, 2020. Eric was an accomplished artist, voracious reader, and ardent student of the Bible. He loved to share his faith and how the Gospel changed his life. He had a heart for others and took great care to understand those he was trying to reach for Christ. He loved Japanese language and culture, making multiple trips to Japan. He enjoyed introducing others to the culture, and sharing that love with family and friends.
