Obituary of Joan Dorothy Gillespie

GILLESPIE, Joan Dorothy Went to be with the Lord at the Clarion Nursing Home on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, in her 94th year. Wife of the late Robert Gillespie. Beloved mother of Marlene and David Swanson of Michigan, Carl and Teresa of Stoney Creek, Darrell and Chris of Fonthill. Lovingly remembered by her eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Betty Pearson and Dora Baggerly. Joan was born in England and spent many years volunteering for various charitable services in the Hamilton area. A private Family Interment Service will take place. A Memorial Service will be held at Cheyne Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 11 at 1 p.m. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Clarion Nursing Home for their care and service.
