BECKWITH, Wayne Douglas

May 29 1946 - December 21 2019

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and while in the care of the Pine Villa Nursing Home. Born in Kemptville, Nova Scotia and moved to Ontario at the age of 8. He was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness in April of 1974 alongside his first wife and remained in the faith until his death. Wayne was an avid guitarist and songwriter, skilled in several instruments. He was patient and generous at heart in teaching his grandchildren to play the guitar. Known for his family sing alongs, his presence will truly be missed. He was a jack of all trades, with many talents and was always willing to lend a hand. Predeceased by Parents; Leander Neary Beckwith and Bernice Eredine Beckwith (nee Rockwell), First wife, Darlene Ellen Beckwith (nee Stockdale 1946-2002) And by sisters; Sylvia Marlow (Lorne), and Virginia Kearse (Paul). Wayne is survived by his brothers, Robert Beckwith (Lynn) and Frank Beckwith (Phuong Ngoc Thi Le). He is lovingly remembered by his 4 children from his first marriage: Wayne Beckwith Jr. (Mariana), Shannon Castonguay (Tom), Tina Beckwith (Cyril), and Richard Beckwith. Loving Papa to David, Jessica, Anthony, Natasja, Riley, Linkon, and Sahara & Great-Grandpa to Charlee and Connor. Wayne remarried July 16, 2004. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by his wife, Donna (Chaisson) whom he adored. He was step-father to her 3 children: Paul Chaisson (Jennifer), Tara-Lyne Chaisson (Dean), and Delia Chaisson (Frederick) and became Grandpa to their children; Makayla, Mila, Onyx, Domanik, Taylor, Lyle, Tee-lyne, Landon, Emillee, and Brendan. In addition, he is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff for the around the clock care Wayne received while at Pine Villa. Per Wayne’s final wishes, Cremation has taken place. Service arrangements regarding a Celebration of Life to follow.
