Obituary of Stanley Hadala
HADALA, Stanley
Suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Beloved wife of Janyce for 57 years. Cherished father of Catherine and son Mark. Loving papa of Jonah, Sebastian, Tobias and Reuben. Survived by brother Henry Hadala (the late Margarete), sister Helen Losier (the late Cy), sister-in-law Mary (Kevin) Bennett, brother-in-law Robert (Linda) Duffy and sister-in-law Muriel (the late Jon) Duffy. Predeceased by his sister Emily (Peter) Katuziak and brother-in-law George Duffy. Stanley will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. After retiring as a teacher from Orchard Park Secondary School, Stan and Janyce with family and friends travelled extensively. His favourite place to visit was his yearly trips to New Brunswick to see family and friends. The best part of any trip for Stan was returning home to share time with his family and friends especially with his four grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He loved his family unconditionally. There wasn’t a restaurant or meal he didn’t enjoy. Special thanks to the staff at the Brant Centre especially the caregivers of Port Nelson Wing. Also, to Father Charlie Galea for his spiritual guidance and compassion. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. Prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Catholic Parish (corner of Barton St. and Nash Rd.) at 9 a.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Note of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
