Obituary of Charles Walter Gibbs

GIBBS, Charles Walter At the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, March 5, 2009, in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of Mary-Ann (Theoret). Beloved father of Sandra and her husband Steve Yull and Tammy and her husband Dwayne Bursey. Loving grandfather of Kristyn, Ryan and Nathan. Dear brother of Jim and his wife Margaret and George and his wife Ruth. Predeceased by his parents Charlie and Ethel Gibbs. Will be sadly missed by his in-laws Margaret and Lee Nall, Ronnie Theoret, Kevin and Catherine Theoret and all his many nieces, nephews and their families. Charles was a former superintendent of Public Works, City of Hamilton. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, March 12 at 2:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to Dr. J. Lapinsky, Dr. Tihal, Dr. Clive Davis and all the medical staff that provided care with their compassion and kindness and to Doug Lobo for all that he has done.
