JENSET, John Michael

Passed away peacefully, in his sleep, on October 27, 2019 in his 71st year. John was a delightful man with a brilliant sense of humour. He was a wise and worldly man, who was extremely proud of his Norwegian heritage. In addition to loving his family, he was an accomplished fiduciary accountant and considered a pioneer in his field. He was a published author for Carswell for several years, wrote "Guide To Estate & Trust Accounting", and was the Chairman/President of Trusts & Estates Accounts Institute Of Canada (TEAIC). John is survived by his wife Lorraine Jenset, his two daughters Tricia Casanova and Lauren Jenset Murray, mother of his children Sheila Laverty, his son-in-law Derek Murray, his grandchildren Lilianna, Domenic, Gabriella, Aria, and Ronin, and his many nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his parents Anton and Joy Jenset, his sisters Gerd Walker and Helen Long, and his brother Peter Jenset. He will be truly missed, especially for his charismatic and positive outlook on life, which will stay with our memories forever. A family gathering will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 2:00 pm- 4:00 p.m. at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
