McQUILKIE, Archibald (Archie)

October 3, 1946 - October 13, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Archie on Sunday, October 13th at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Shirley for 45 years. Loving and supportive Dad of Craig (Laura) and Shaina (Przemek). Proud Papa of Peyton, Quinn, Avery, Eden, and Elise. Brother of John (Katie) and Mary, and brother-in- law of Jeannie and Mel Thompson and Paul and Patti Granich. Uncle to Ashley, Crystal, and Louise. Archie was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1969. He was an avid soccer player and played with the Hamilton Sparta Soccer Club from 1969-1978. Archie was a long-time member and Past Master of Hugh Murray Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 602 G.R.C., Past Grand Steward of the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario, and a 32° Member of the A.A.S.R. The family will receive visitors at MacNab Street Presbyterian Church, located at 116 MacNab St. S. in Hamilton on Friday, October 18th from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. followed by a Memorial and Masonic service at 11 a.m. Private family burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations in memory of Archie to MacNab Street Presbyterian Church, or Hugh Murray Lodge No. 602- Anniversary fund, would be appreciated by the family.
