GEIST, Jasna After a courageous battle with cancer, Jasna passed away on July 14, 2011. Loving wife of Dr. Osama Badawi. Dear daughter to Ivan and Antonija Geist. Loving mother of Jamie, Kevin, Summer, Omar, Ali and Romie. Special friend to Gisele and Joe. Baka to Xavier and Dante. Always in the heart of her sister Vesna and her brother-in-law Steve and Asmaa. Dearest Teta to Tasha and Tylor. Dear niece to Gorge, Mary, Marica, Ziga. Dear cousin to Robert, Audrey, Damir, Nina, Sanja, Helena. God-daughter to Morjian and Ankica Prpic and all her family here and in Croatia. Jasna was a remarkable lady with a big heart for everyone she touched. A Private Family Funeral has taken place. Special thank you to Julie and everyone at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home and to all the doctors and caring nurses at Juravinski Hospital for their extraordinary care and compassion. God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be, so He wrapped His loving arms around her and whispered "Come with Me." She suffered much in silence, she faced her pain with courage to the very end. Jas tried so hard to stay with us, but her fight was not in vain, God took her to His loving home to free her from her pain. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you. Forever loved and in our hearts.
