It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Kostelac, on Thursday, September 26, 2019, soon after his 84th birthday. Loving husband of 49 years to Elena. Loving father to John Kostelac and Lydia Cracknell. Grandfather to Amy Kostelac. Father-in-law to France Lefebvre-Kostelac and Dr. Grant Cracknell. Brother to Anica and Dragica. Uncle to Susan, Lillian, Zlatko and John. Godfather to Martin and Katarina, and family godmother Darinka. Many extended friends and family in Canada, Australia, Germany, Croatia and the US. He was a dedicated employee of Dofasco for 26 years. Joe left Croatia in 1962 never to return as his life was here where he told us he was happy and satisfied. Dad we will miss how you made us all laugh. Thank you for the life you have given us. Your garden will miss you. We’ll continue to keep track of the weather for you on Earth in your absence. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Holy Cross Croatian Church on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
