MacDONALD, Ruth Marjorie (nee Dorman)

On Saturday, September 14, 2019 our beloved Mother was reunited with our Father Colin in Heaven. She will be greatly missed by her children Colleen (Al), Connie (Barry), Fred (Nancy), Rose (Dave), her 12 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren. Dear sister of Lawrence (Esther), sister-in-law of Elizabeth Dorman, Leonie MacDonald and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her brothers Robert and Roy and her sister Muriel. She devoted her life to her family, was a loyal and trusted friend and a blessing to all who knew her. Many of us will cherish great memories of time spent with her at the cottages in Barry's Bay playing card games, doing puzzles or enjoying her freshly baked cinnamon buns, pies and butter tarts. Our heart‐ felt thanks to the amazing caring staff at Willowgrove Long Term Care. Visitation for Ruth will be at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, September 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Service will be on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Parkinson’s Society in hope that one day our future generations will not have to experience this illness.
