CARBRAY, John Rae

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Rae Carbray on the morning of July 9, 2019 after a, thankfully, short battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and Otis, his beloved dog. Loving husband to Becky; dear father to Dawn (Steve), William Paul (Karen), Ruthie Rae (Paul), Elizabeth Marion (Noel); proud Poppy to Isabella, Ethan, Olivia, Anderson, Lucy, Alexander, Evelyn, Adrian, Albert and Leah. John will also be sorely missed by his sister Trudy-Ann, his brother Bill and his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and all his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The Carbray family would like to thank the staff at Hamilton Palliative Care, the staff of the Emmanuel House and a very special thank you to Dr. Cano for his dedicated care and support. Heartfelt gratitude goes to Bill Carbray, John’s baby brother. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 14 at 2 p.m. at the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry Veterans Association, 1353 Barton St., Hamilton. Donations to the Toronto Police Widows and Orphans fund would be appreciated.
