Dear Buffy, Nancy & Dave, and family: Due to a previous commitment we were not able to attend the service at Paramount today, but wanted to send our condolences to all of you on this great loss of husband, father, and grandfather. We understand only too well the loss of a family's patriarch, and we feel sad for you all in losing your 'gentle giant'. We always regarded Dave as a sweet man, with a kind, caring and congenial way about him. May you be comforted by wonderful memories from the many years you had with him and the legacy he leaves in his children, grandchildren and even this new great grand-baby :) Grace & Peace to all of you, Love, Doug & Julie

Dave was my " Mr. Handsome " at Seniors on Tuesday mornings. We so enjoyed having him and Buffy sitting at 'our table' even though he did try to hit me with his cane with the thorns...tee hee. Dave was a big help with our quizzes, always coming thru with a right answer when needed. Our 'table' will never be the same but we know he is now free of pain and suffering. He has finally met Jesus and is in His Presence. Love and miss you Dave.

Dear Buffy. My heart goes out to you as you grief the physical death of Dave. You were my childhood neighbours which holds a special place in my life. Dave would drive myself, sister (Laurel) and brother (Glenn) plus other neighbourhood kids to the Daily Vacation Bible School held at your own church many summers ago. Dave played slo-pitch in the Hamilton Olde Sports league for a few years, he was on my team at times and a he was a very good ball player as well as a special teamate! He would occasionally come up to the park to visit everyone and I would always have a visit with him. I give my sincere condolences to his family at this sad time.

We are so saddened to hear of the passing of dear, sweet Uncle Dave. He always, always had a smile, a warm hug and kiss on the cheek for you when youd see him, no matter how long it had been. The times around the pool, in Florida, at the cottage, playing Rook, playing the "Delta old timers" in baseball, are among the imprinted memories on my mind. You are all loved and prayed for this week as you prepare to say farewell. Thank God we will all be reunited at that great getting uo morning.
